Meet Dr. Donnell
Dr. Emily Donnell is from Amarillo, TX, and was inspired to pursue dentistry after having her teeth knocked out when she was 7 years old.
Dr. Donnell started job shadowing at AOMS Pediatric & Children's Dentistry 10 years ago and immediately fell in love with the energy and culture of this practice. She is proud to be a part of a practice that puts patients first. After earning her dental degree in Houston, she decided to move back to her hometown of Amarillo and join our team.
To Dr. Donnell, the most rewarding part about being a pediatric dentist is the ability to boost someone’s self-confidence by giving them a happy and healthy smile. She wants patients to know that they will be treated like family members. She enjoys answering patients’ questions and telling them everything they need in order to know exactly what to expect.
Education
Dr. Donnell earned a bachelor’s degree in biology at West Texas A&M University. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from The University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston.
Outside of Work
When she’s not at work, Dr. Donnell enjoys traveling and especially loves going to beaches. Three interesting facts about her are that she grew up on a farm, she has a dog named Simba, and having her teeth knocked out at 7 years old inspired her to pursue dentistry.
