Meet Dr. Tran
Originally from Vietnam, Dr. Vy Tran was inspired to pursue pediatric dentistry after going on a dental mission back to Vietnam.
About Dr. Tran
Dr. Tran was able to treat many children and adults suffering from infections and pain, and she felt a special connection with her younger patients. She enjoys interacting with children and parents every day, and her goal is to always make sure her patients feel comfortable.
Dr. Tran strives to create an environment that consists of ongoing support for everyone and always looks forward to learning new techniques and methods to implement. To her, the most rewarding thing about pediatric dentistry is the ability to cultivate a lifetime of outstanding oral health, and she is grateful for all of the training and knowledge she has received to be able to touch the lives of others.
Education
Dr. Tran earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Roseman University Health Sciences and completed her general practice residency at the University of Utah. Dr. Tran also trained in special care dentistry at Montefiore–Rose F. Kennedy Children Evaluation & Rehabilitation Center and later graduated from the University of Toledo with a degree in pediatric dentistry.
Certifications
Dr. Tran is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Dental Association (ADA), the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), and the Special Care Dentistry Association (SCDA).
Outside of Work
Outside of work, Dr. Tran enjoys spending time with her family. She loves to cook, travel, and she’s a pro at playing hide and seek with her daughter! She has lived in four different countries and six different states.
